Tackle Box Troubles:Sammy Spinner described by the author.
Susan Duke a native of Mt. Prospect, IL , is a special education teacher in Northbrook, Illinois, and currently lives in McHenry County. She loves traveling to the Northwoods of Wisconsin every summer to spend time fishing for large fish with her husband, Adam, and their dogs.
They recently purchased a log cabin in Wisconsin, where they hope to enjoy even more time every summer on the water fishing for musky.
The ideas for the Tackle Box Troubles children's book(s) were developed by Susan after a series of interesting and unfortunate events occurred while learning the art of fishing from her husband, Adam. One day, while fishing and getting herself out of another tangled mess, she thought to herself the tackle box was full of nothing but lures that enjoyed causing trouble...a tackle box of troubles. That thought quickly turned into an idea for a children's book.
While Sammy Spinner is Susan's first published children's book, she has several more fishing lure story ideas, based off actual events while vacationing and fishing, and hopes to develop manuscripts for all of them. Susan believes that children of all ages will enjoy reading about these fishing lures trying to catch fish and working to keep themselves out of all the trouble they tend to find themselves in along the way.
